No fun summer so far

Well this week I graduated from "mommy" to "MOM". Emilio is all grown up. Can I just freeze him at this age for a few years. I feel like I miss so much when I'm at work. I had so many plans for this summer and it all had to change. They are closing my unit that I love. I will no longer have the best boss in the entire hospital. I have been looking for a new job in my hospital. The only unit that I could keep straight days on is rehab. The last place I could ever see myself is rehab. It is a nursing home within the hospital. Tomorrow I will shadow the case manager in the bed board. It does not sound like my dream job. I would have to work 5 days a week( I was only working 4 days a week) I would still be on call every other weekend. (Yuck). Oh and yes the hours 2pm to 10 pm (double yuck). This was to be the first summer for a set days schedule. I was so looking forward to this summer. Day trips, zoo trips, beach runs, and oh yes the best thing ever dancing under the stars in Grant park in chicago. I'm so bummed!
